I was born in vibrant city Kolkata but grew up in Bengal's industrial towns. Lived in a few countries before settling at Dallas.
Life has taught me to be humble, down to earth and helping others. I am an animal lover, specifically large dogs. Also actively support environment sustainability, reusability and doing more with less. Look forward to meeting new people and learning from others.

Cooking isn't just a hobby for me; it's my passion, one that has earned appreciation both in India and here in the US. Whether it's recreating traditional Indian dishes or experimenting with new flavors, I find joy in every moment spent in the kitchen. However, my interests extend beyond the culinary realm. I am deeply involved in community work, finding fulfillment in giving back and making a positive impact. PRANAM holds a special place in my heart as it provides me with the perfect platform to channel my energy towards meaningful initiatives. Balancing my love for cooking with my commitment to community service, I strive to create a harmonious blend of personal fulfillment and social contribution in my life.

So you can say my journey of life is ‘D’urgapur to ‘D’allas. 😀Besides my IT career and a vintage lover I always have a passion for numismatics, singing. Despite of our busy IT schedules we always manage some time to serve our community. And after moving to Dallas it is now happening with PRANAM by doing the food drive together for the nation. I’ll not say PRANAM is just a bengali community or club like others, rather I’ll say it’s my extended family. Their welcoming nature to the new members was beyond my expectations which forced me to feel like they are my extended family here in the foreign land. Let’s explore together.

A proud Bengali who hails from the vibrant city of Kolkata. Raised in the heart of the city I developed a deep appreciation for Bengali culture, cuisine, and traditions from a young age. One of my cherished family traditions is the annual Kali puja, a sacred ritual passed down through generations. At home, I join my family in honoring the ancestral goddess Kali, with elaborate prayers offerings and festivities. Now residing in the United States, I’m determined to keep my Bengali heritage alive. I actively participate in various activities including Durga puja celebrations, Bengali cultural events that showcase the richness of Bengali traditions. As a member of PRANAM, I’m dedicated to serve the community by doing volunteering activities encompassing a wide range of opportunities, from environmental conservation and community outreach to mentoring and humanitarian aid.

Me, my husband and my 10-year-old son, moved to the beautiful town of Melissa from the arctic Wisconsin back in 2022 and since then our family has been involved with the Bengali community of DFW. When we are not fighting at home, we try to engage ourselves in 'spirited' adda, planning for next PRANAM event or simply dreaming about food.

My husband's pride and passion in his culture and cuisine was part of my initial attraction to him. Over the five years we have been together I have developed my own appreciation for the beauty and uniqueness of Bengali customs, movies, food, and community. Although I know I still have much to learn, I am excited about that journey. I have also been grateful for the welcoming spirit of the Bengali people whom I have met along the way. The Pranam organization has been a wonderful opportunity to come together with the Bengali community in Dallas and I am grateful for the fellowship it has provided for my family.

Hi PRANAM family! I have been living in the DFW area for the last few years with my family. I love living in the DFW area for its warm weather and loving Bengali/Indian community. I am also deeply passionate about community engagements. I had been actively participating in various community works since my childhood days. I was engaged in organizing blood donation camps, raising funds for building libraries, organizing sports events, and organizing Bengali festivals, in my hometown in Bengal. This involvement helped me to learn the importance of community and helping others. It’s an experience that has enriched my understanding of social responsibility. I am thrilled to be a part of the PRANAM family and looking forward to continuing the same passion of social and community engagement in the DFW area.

This is Sujoy. You might seen me in capturing beautiful moment by holding camera 📷 for PRANAM events. After spending a decade in Bangalore I moved to Dallas in 2022 with my lovely wife Ankita. We both are software engineers by profession. Since childhood I am attached with social work and serving to community from school days. I am too passionate about cars and love to cook. Apart from work life I spend time with my family, capturing moments & long drive by exploring new places. I joined as active member to grow together to achieve a huge success in long run. At last but not least PRANAM is extended family for me.

This principle resonates deeply with me, fueling my desire to journey through life at the confluence of commitment and selflessness. To me, 'Pranam' embodies this ethos — love to be part of a team that selflessly works towards communal and humanitarian goals. My professional and personal objectives are anchored in collaborating with dynamic teams, united in a common vision to make a positive difference in whatever we do. I firmly believe as a team we have the collective power to make a profound difference in addressing the immediate challenges of the community where we live. By doing this, we enrich not just our own lives but also those of others, helping to create a more empathetic and connected world.

As a dynamic individual hailing from the city of Kolkata and now residing in the US I have an inner passion for cultural diversity and community service. Despite my duties as a doting Mother, loving wife, and focused leader in my professional life, I keep my passion for serving the community alive. As an enthusiastic mentor for young kids, I often participate in mentoring sessions at my daughter's school helping kids with language barriers as well as volunteer at various school clubs like Science and Technology Clubs, fostering curiosity and innovation in the next generation. Additionally, I’m committed to empowering women and young girls in the tech industry serving as a guiding light for those looking to join the technology wagon. I believe as a dedicated member of the PRANAM family I’m able to contribute to society by bridging cultural gaps and inspire others to reach their fullest potential.

This is Surajit(He/Him). You may know me as the Bengali class coordinator for PRANAM. I am an extremely passionate individual with a zeal of community service. I reside in Melissa with my wife Jhulan, and our 10-year-old son Shakya. We absolutely love our Bengali community in DFW and has been the part of PRANAM family since its inception. We are head-to-toe Bengalis, but our family comes with its fair share of diversity. I come from a long line of East Bengal supporters while my wife's family is inherently Mohunbagan-i. So, you can imagine the amount of entertainment our son gets at home. But on the other hand, we both love kochu bata and aloo posto equally. So, peace out !!!

I am a crazy crazy football maniac, mad for Lionel Messi, Chelsea, Argentina and Mohunbagan. Apart from that I spend my time outside work listening to rock & roll music, watching games, reading current affairs, watching movies and cooking.
With Pranam and its members, I want to create new friendships and relationships which I have left behind in my motherland. As I am comparatively new here, it often pains my heart to see how contained people are in their own circle. I want to break that ideology and jump into our Bengali culture of adda, golpo and anondo all while we do something to give back to the community/society.

Have been staying in Kolkata since 2013 permanently before moving to Dallas, TX - my first venture outside India in May 2022. Since then Texas has been our home (with my husband Aniruddha).
I have in the profession of customer relationship since 2019 but while I am on a career break, I love to put in my time in all other activities that keep me busy - cooking, painting, DIYs, gardening and parenting for pets (friends’). What’s different here from India is the absence of a big friends circle seating round table talking out goods and bads of life, sharing thoughts. With Pranam, we wish we will definitely bridge the gap as we joyously contribute towards the society as a whole.
