Eligibility of donors with recent International travel
Travel to India within the past three months may result in a temporary donor deferral; however, eligibility is determined based on several factors, including the length of travel, the specific regions visited, and other health history considerations. As a result, some individuals who have recently traveled to India may still be eligible to donate.
We encourage all interested donors to keep their appointments and complete the health history screening process. Our team will be able to assess each donor’s eligibility based on their individual circumstances.
Even if a donor is not currently eligible to donate blood, they may still receive their mini health screening and can be advised on when they may become eligible and schedule a future donation appointment. We appreciate your support and partnership in helping to save lives.
